Returns, Replacement & Warranty
Version 2026-10-18 · Effective 18 October 2026
1. AnandOS standard policy (minimum for every seller)
| Problem | Report within | Proof needed | Usual result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Damaged in transit, broken, leaking | 48 hours of delivery | Unboxing video + photos + invoice | Replacement or credit by the seller |
| Wrong item, wrong size / model | 48 hours of delivery | Unboxing video showing label and product | Exchange for the right item |
| Missing or short quantity | 48 hours of delivery | Unboxing video showing sealed box, label and count | Missing quantity sent, or credit |
| Product not working (manufacturing defect) | Within the brand warranty | Photo / video of the fault, invoice, warranty card | Repair or replacement through the brand's service centre, with the seller's help |
2. Not returnable (unless the seller's policy says otherwise)
- Products that have been installed, fitted, wired, used or tested on load — for example switches, MCBs, fans, lights, heaters, pumps, CP fittings — except under brand warranty.
- Wires and cables cut from a coil, and items cut, drilled or modified to size.
- Special-order, made-to-order or non-stock items ordered for you.
- Products without original packaging, labels, serial numbers, manuals and accessories, or with tampered seals.
- "Ordered by mistake" / "no longer needed" — only if the seller agrees, and in unused, resaleable condition.
- Damage caused by wrong installation, voltage fluctuation, water, misuse or normal wear.
3. Unboxing video — required for every damage, wrong-item and missing-item claim
To protect honest buyers and sellers, a claim for damaged, wrong or missing items cannot be accepted without an unboxing video. The video must be one continuous recording (no cuts or pauses) that:
- starts with the sealed package, showing all sides and the shipping label / order number;
- shows the package being opened;
- shows every product, its label / model and the quantity;
- clearly shows the damage, wrong item or shortage.
If the outer box is visibly damaged or open at delivery, write "received damaged" on the delivery receipt or refuse the delivery, and record it on video in front of the delivery person. See the full Packing, Delivery & Unboxing Proof Policy.
4. How to raise a request
- Go to My Account → your order → Report a problem.
- Choose the problem, describe it, and upload the unboxing video and photos (up to 50 MB each; larger videos can be shared on WhatsApp with your request number).
- You get a request number (IS-…). The seller must acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within one month.
- The seller arranges pickup, replacement, refund or credit note directly with you, as per its policy.
- If the seller does not reply in 48 hours, or you disagree, press Escalate to AnandOS. AnandOS reviews both sides' evidence and can warn or block a seller or buyer for proven misuse — but the refund or replacement itself remains between you and the seller.
5. Refunds and cancellations
- You can cancel free of charge before the seller dispatches.
- Payments are made to the seller, so any refund is paid by the seller, usually within 7 working days of approving it, to the original payment method or as a credit note, as agreed.
6. Fair use
False claims, returning used, swapped or different goods, or edited videos are fraud. They lead to rejection of the claim and may lead to a warning or a platform-wide block, and can be reported to the police. The same applies to sellers who supply wrong, short or fake goods or refuse valid claims.
